Field Service Technician – Water Purification Systems

Location: Remote (Greater San Francisco Bay Area)

Position Overview

A leading manufacturer of engineered water purification filtration systems is seeking a Field Service Technician to provide on-site troubleshooting, maintenance, and customer support for ultrapure water purification systems. This role involves scheduled maintenance, training customers on equipment operation, and ensuring optimal system performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform on-site troubleshooting, installation supervision, commissioning, and maintenance of water purification equipment.
• Provide classroom and hands-on training to customers on equipment operation and maintenance.
• Diagnose and resolve field service issues, including electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation-related problems.
• Adjust equipment settings to meet performance specifications.
• Identify and recommend proactive service solutions to enhance system efficiency.
• Maintain positive customer relationships and deliver high-quality support.
• Manage travel logistics and expenses efficiently.

Qualifications & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• 4-6 years of experience working with electrical and mechanical equipment in an industrial setting.
• Hands-on experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring schematics, and technical plans.
• Experience with instrumentation and electrical components in industrial equipment.
• Knowledge of water purification systems is a plus.
• Strong understanding of industrial safety protocols (mechanical, electrical, chemical, fire, material handling).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer-based reporting.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple service tasks effectively.
