Job Description:
The Physical Security Manager, Americas, will oversee and manage security operations across the Americas region. This role involves developing and implementing security protocols, conducting risk assessments, managing security teams, and ensuring compliance with local and international laws. The manager will act as the primary liaison between security and regional stakeholders, promoting the safety and security of employees, assets, and operations. This position is onsite in Santa Clara.
Day-to-day Responsibilities:
• Security Operations : Manage daily physical security measures, including reporting, investigations, event coverage, access control, and emergency response.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Foster relationships with site points of contact and provide remote assistance as needed.
• Strategy Implementation : Execute and maintain security measures such as access controls, surveillance systems, and emergency response protocols.
• Team Management: Oversee on-site contract security teams, ensuring compliance with service standards and legalities.
• Cost Analysis: Analyze security-related costs for organizational budgeting .
• Incident Response : Lead and coordinate responses to security incidents, ensuring swift resolution.
• Policy Development: Develop, implement, and enforce security policies and procedures.
• Training: Design and deliver training programs on security protocols and best practices.
• Technical Oversight: Manage the operation and maintenance of security systems, including access controls and surveillance systems. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all security practices comply with local and international laws.
Required Skills & Experience:
• Corporate Security Experience: 6-8 years in a corporate setting, with a focus on security management and incident oversight.
• Leadership: 1-4 years of managerial experience
• Interpersonal Skills: Strong ability to maintain and develop positive working relationships with stakeholders.
• Operational Expertise: Proficient in operational security management, including leadership, team management, and incident response.
• Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with experience in issue and conflict resolution.
• Technical Proficiency: Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, and familiar with security systems such as access controls and surveillance systems. Writing Skills: Strong writing skills for creating workflows and detailed reports.
