As Signet’s Senior Director, Pricing, your role will include a broad set of responsibilities to drive data science and product development teams across the following topics. Help drive an innovation across data sciences, talent and tools by defining analytics use cases and aligning with a partner stakeholder group on the prioritization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Help drive an innovation across data sciences, talent and tools by defining analytics use cases and aligning with a partner stakeholder group on the prioritization. Examples include:

• Leading/contributing to the roadmap for analytical code innovation, including bringing in additional analytical features, use of alternative modeling or AI/ML approaches and automation of Analytics at scale
• Drive/oversee some of the key architectural decisions as they relate to Analytics, from modeling and merchandise pricing to forecasting to optimization
• Evaluate the benefits and risks of alternative modeling platforms and technologies, and make recommendations for future use
• Serve as a center of excellence to our Merchandising Brand leaders

Expert Leadership in internal projects through engaging directly with stakeholders to bring expertise to the specific engagement. Examples include:

• Shape analytics approach, review data sciences insights, and help finalize recommendations to optimize impact of insights
• Develop recommendations on project approach, and draw from insights across clients to support proposal phases
• Coach business teams to drive knowledge and adoption of analytical best practices for the greatest impact

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

• Doctorate degree in mathematics, econometrics, statistics, operations research or other quantitative sciences is preferred
• 10+ years of experience in the field of merchandising, retail pricing or promotional management with experience in practical data analysis
• Experience and leadership in change management and consulting
• Experience with advanced analytics and statistical techniques such as multivariate regression / econometric modeling, with ability to drive exploration and draw conclusions from multiple data sources
• Experience with usage of ML algorithms including Random Forrest and XGBoost
• Experience developing analytical solutions for internal or external usage, particularly in promotional effectiveness and price elasticity
• Advanced knowledge in statistical packages and knowledge of Python (ideally also R)
• Experience in managing a team of statistical analysts
• Excellent communication and influencing skills that can be employed when in order to build relationships and achieve goals
• Comfortable working with all levels of management, with ability to critically evaluate and communicate business issues/risks with conviction

This position requires a candidate to be on-site for a hybrid in-office schedule out of the Akron, OH or Dallas, TX offices.
