Job Title: Director of Product Management - Front Office Technology (Rates)
Location: New York, New York
Team: Front Office Product Management
We are partnered with a leading financial institution that is seeking a highly skilled Technical Product Manager with a front office background to join a lean, high-impact team driving the next generation of front office technology. This individual will work closely with trading and sales desks-ideally bringing direct trading experience or deep exposure to front office workflows-to bridge the gap between technology and the business. The role is critical in shaping the product roadmap, influencing engineering execution, and setting the foundation for a global product organization.
Key ResponsibilitiesOwn and drive the front office technology product agenda in close partnership with trading and sales teams.
Translate business needs into clear, actionable product requirements with a strong emphasis on user experience and workflow efficiency.
Manage competing priorities across internal stakeholders and guide cross-functional tech teams to deliver scalable, impactful solutions.
Collaborate with a broader engineering organization to execute product vision.
Contribute to long-term growth, including building out a global product team-starting with an EU-based hire to support EU Rates.
8+ years of experience as a product manager, and previous experience working as a trader or having worked closely with trading and sales desks in a front office environment.
Deep understanding of Rates products-this is essential.
Strong technical fluency and a product-first mindset-this is not a project management role.
Hands-on experience with wireframing and user flow definition.
Proven ability to operate autonomously and influence without direct authority across large tech organizations.
Skilled at balancing strategic thinking with tactical execution, always in lockstep with user needs.
Entrepreneurial, proactive, and independent thinker.
Able to act as a translator between business and technology.
Comfortable navigating ambiguity and thriving in a lean, fast-paced environment.
